EHCP

What is a study programme? what are the qualifications on offer to students? what do the grades mean? and what does the programme cost?

OUR PROGRAMME IN DETAIL

EHCP PROGRAMME

An EHCP programme is a bespoke programme that comprises both education and preparation for Adulthood. The education element is made up of qualifications in what the individual shows an interest in and both Maths and English are delivered.

Work Placements are sourced and opportunities to learn in practice are arranged whilst being supported and mentored.

For EHCP learners, our model focuses on education, employability, confidence-building and preparation for adulthood. We provide structured learning with appropriate adaptations, recognising that learners may require additional support with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, confidence, attendance, behaviour or independent living skills.

Our approach includes:

  • Individualised support based on learner needs and outcomes.
  • Small-group delivery where appropriate.
  • Practical employability and life-skills development.
  • Sports, enrichment and wellbeing activities to support engagement.
  • Clear routines, expectations and positive behaviour support.
  • Regular reviews of progress, barriers and next steps.
  • Partnership working with families, carers, schools, colleges, local authorities and support agencies.

The aim is to help EHCP learners grow in confidence, develop transferable skills and move towards further education, training, employment or supported pathways.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do the grades mean?

The pass, merit and distinction grading criteria are linked to A-Level grading and are set out below:
     • Pass Equivalent to an E at A Level
     • Merit Equivalent to a C at A Level
     • Distinction Equivalent to an A at A Level

To achieve a merit in a unit, you will need to achieve the entire pass and merit criteria for that unit, similarly to achieve a distinction you will need to achieve all pass, merit and distinction criteria.

Does the Study Programme cost anything?

Although there are no costs associated with the education components of the course, there is a cost, around £200, to cover the costs of the football provision. Bursaries are available to help towards covering the costs of kit, travel and food, however the awarding of bursaries is dependent on your financial circumstances and the documents you submit as part of the application.
